Every online home based business has a story behind it. Ours began after we retired into a motorhome and began to travel. We soon found that inflation and fuel prices were eating us up turning our fixed income into a declining income so we began to look at possibilities to supplement it. When I saw this video I knew you should see it too... Dancing brings out so many creative ideas for me I hope it moves you the same way. Isn't it wonderful it is to be vibrant and healthy like the dancers in this video.
My feet are still tapping. Are you ready to go dancing too? Lets be honest.. Nothing is more important than your health. As I shared in my last message to you our mind plays an important role in our health.
A perfect example is a story about Fred who went in for a routine exam. Now Fred is 75 years young and has never been sick a day in his life, but due to constant nagging from his wife who may as well live in the doctors office he went.
When routine blood work came back with a elevated PSA that's when all havoc broke loose. The doctor recommended he go in for a bioposy and his wife insisted too. Unfortunately the local hospital running the test couldn't get Fred in right away.
The earliest possible appointment wasn't for 6 weeks. Fred went home and started worrying what the biopsy would show. He went from an active 75 yr old who was an active gardener, to basically and feeble old man would could barely get up to sit in front of the television. When the day of the biopsy rolled around Fred looked like someone had just handed him a death warrant.
Fortunately Fred came through the biopsy surgery OK, but you could tell he still had the worry deep down of what test results would show. When test came back normal it was like Fred had gotten a new lease on life. He got home put his work clothes on and got busy living life again. I don't know how many folks have gone through what Fred did, but I do know it doesn't have to be like this.
Just recently New England Journal of Medicine concluded that screening for prostate cancer has little or no effect in prolonging men’s lives, and the risks posed by unnecessary treatment may outweigh the benefits of early detection. Imagine that!
In conclusion I encourage you to surround yourself with what makes you happy in life.... Such as this video that makes you feel like dancing too.

The Value of a Franchise Business Online

Nineteen month old little Jayce had been on a waiting list for "Learn and Grow Depot" for several months, finally last week the day came when he was able to start. Now this isn't just any day care, this one was regulated by the state, ran by the hospital, in a brand new building, included cooks, director, "trained" teachers with video cameras throughout. In our small rural town it "looked" like the best choice. Little Jayce had been spending his day's with me on the farm, most would think that is ideal situation but I could see he needed interaction with other kids not just animals.
Jayce's first day at the "new daycare" seemed to go fairly well. By watching the video cameras I could tell he was very well behaved, but didn't have lots of interaction with the other kids execpt for an flirting smile to a couple of little girls. Imagine that!
At 9 PM that evening the Learn and Grow Depot was offically closed! There were over 100 kid's parents scrambling to take off work or find other daycare options for the next day. By 12 noon it was on the KWCH (Wichita 1 1/2 drive from us) News. The report from the Kansas Dept. of Health and Environment is un-settling to say the least! KDHE Report
This is a terrible situation that may have never been caught if it weren't for today's technology. Think about how many kids in this world who aren't in a daycare with video cameras.
Little Jayce is back with me on the farm until a more suitable "day play group" is found. I know Jayce is one of the lucky ones, because chances are he will never go into a daycare full-time, for him it will be to interact with others his own age.
So what are the benefits of having your own home business? For me one BIG benefit is to have the ability to make the difference in the life of a child.

Franchise Business: What does a SMART Small Business Entrepreneur Do in a Recession?
You know I LOVE twitter, but over the last week I have seen a sense of panic, mostly because I have been focusing on a target market that isn't currently a small business owner. There is so much education to be done for some of these poor souls or at least they think they are poor because the media tells them how bad it is.
I've got "NEWS" for you just because the media paints a doom and gloom picture it doesn't have to be like that. Let's face it. Doom and gloom sells. Look at 911 how many people (including me) were glued to the TV watching and listening. Remember the year 2000 scare when all electronic data was going to be wiped out? Did it happen? NO... Did some people take advantage of it a make a boat load? YES
It amazes me these predictors are not held accountable for their stupidity when the bad things DON’T come to pass. Sadly, I’ve found that some of the greatest tragedies I’ve seen in my life, like 9/11, Huricane Katrina, and earth quakes, tsunamis, and other disasters were not predicted or prevented in any real way at all.
Any thinking person understands depressions, natural disasters, war, and more... does happen and that is unfortunately a part of life as we know it. But the media doesn’t want you to ‘think’… they want you to be afraid and dependant and turn to them for ‘comfort’ day in and day out (bad, bad idea… they never report ‘good news’). To my knowledge, worrying about such events has not prevented any of them!
Action and imagination solve problems a whole lot better than ‘worrying’.
After all…
Napoleon Hill didn’t write, ‘Worry and Grow Rich’, did he?
However, the doomsayers predict doom almost every day it and the media seems eerily cheerful in reporting on anything negative that happens around the world in real time, 24 hours a day year round. What is missing is perspective.
Miracles, recovery, healing, new discoveries, massive profits, enlightenment, giving, growth, birth, beauty and joy are ALSO happening every day around the world.
But you’d never know about it if you rely on the NEWS media for your view of reality.
If you want to profit from these times, let McCain, Obama, the stock market, real estate woes and the nattering ninnies in Congress shuffle papers around to their hearts content. And ignore them. If you have real estate problems or stock troubles, educate yourself on how to best deal with those issues. Tell yourself over and over.. "If it is to be it's up to me" Don't rely on anyone to bail you out!
Don’t envy or resent the ‘rich’, join them! The Money is still right under our noses. In fact this "recession" will produce more billionaires than ever before. (Some people are THRILLED to see it coming) Stocks and Real Estate will be bought at rock bottom prices. (Only to be sold for massive profits in a few short years) Advertising for your business will be much cheaper, because there won't be the competition from the nervous nellies.
SMART Small Business Entrepreneurs are...
- Proactive. We see something coming and we do something about it. We take the bull by the horns.
- Focus on Sales. Bottomline we are in sales may as well admit it. We focus on Sales, not the "news"

The 80/20 Rule is one of the most helpful of all concepts of time and life management. It
is also called the Pareto Principle after its founder, the Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto,
who first wrote about it in 1895. Pareto noticed that people in his society seemed to
divide naturally into what he called the "vital few," the top 20% in terms of money and
influence, and the "trivial many," the bottom 80%.
Pareto later discovered that virtually all economic activity was subject to this his Principle
as well. For example, this rule says that 20% of your activities will account for 80%
of your results. 20% of your customers will account for 80% of your sales. 20% of your
products or services will account for 80% of your profits. 20% of your tasks will account
for 80% of the value of what you do, and so on. This means that if you have a list of
ten items to do, two of those items will turn out to be worth as much or more than
the other eight items put together.
Here is an interesting discovery. Each of these tasks may take the same amount of
time to accomplish. But one or two of those tasks will contribute five or ten times the
value as any of the others. Often, one item on a list of ten things that you have to do
can be worth more than all the other nine items put together. This task is invariably the
one that you should do first.
The most valuable tasks you can do each day are often the hardest and most
complex. But the payoff and rewards for completing these tasks efficiently can be
tremendous. For this reason, you must adamantly refuse to work on tasks in the bottom
80% while you still have tasks in the top 20% left to be done. Before you begin work,
always ask yourself, "Is this task in the top 20% of my activities or in the bottom 80%?"
The hardest part of any important task is getting started on it in the first place. Once you
actually begin work on a valuable task, you seem to be naturally motivated to continue.
There is a part of your mind that loves to be busy working on significant tasks that can
really make a difference. Your job is to feed this part of your mind continually.
Time management is really life management, personal management. It is really taking
control over the sequence of events. Time management is control over what you do
next. And you are always free to choose the task that you will do next. Your ability to
choose between the important and the unimportant is the key determinant of your
success in life and work. Effective, productive people discipline themselves to start on
the most important task that is before them. They force themselves to eat that frog,
whatever it is. As a result, they accomplish vastly more than the average person and are
much happier as a result. This should be your way of working as well.
Make a list of all the key goals, activities, projects and responsibilities in your life today.
Which of them are, or could be, in the top 10% or 20% of tasks that represent, or could
represent, 80% or 90% of your results? Resolve today that you are going to spend more
and more of your time working in those few areas that can really make a difference in
you life and career, and less and less time on lower value activities.

Do you persuade customers, teammates, bosses or employees via the telephone? Like it or not, you're in telephone sales. Even with all the technology on the the Internet, lots of business still revolves around the phone.
Here are some quick tips for making your point more powerful.
Talk clearly. Use short sentences. Talk loud enough but don't over-modulate the mouthpiece (that's announcer talk for distortion). This can be especially tricky when you're on the cell phone in the car. I use a bluetooth ear piece, making it easy to take notes or ordering information. Word of caution do not try to multi-task, carefully listen to what the other person is saying so you know how to respond.
Here's a technique I discovered from talking to newspaper reporters back in the corporate days. When you're talking with a reporter and you want them to write down particular points but not others, vary your pace. Talk fast through the points you don't feel are important, but slow down and enunciate the important parts you want in print. The same works for selling on the telephone.
Leave the script behind. Instead, jot down a few phrases that remind you of your important points. Ad-lib around these to keep your pitch on track. Fear of the phone can be big hurdle for many online marketers. Educate yourself about the product or service you promote. Become a product of the product. Then selling on the phone becomes like talking to your best friend when you know in your heart what's best for them.

Hi Peggy,
I think Amway is going on 50 years too. Our neighbor is one of the top dogs in Amway, he has built a "retirement" house 2 miles from his "mansion" all within a mile from us.. the "mansion" that includes a conference center is up for sale to the tune of 2.5 million.. so the neighbors say! Everyone wonders who they will get in our little rural community to purchase! I'm thinking possible a business of some kind. It was built on a golf course and is beautiful.
